Physics Student from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Takes First Place in International Esports Tournament
Thohari Imanullah, a 2024 student of the Physics Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, recently made an impressive mark outside the academic world. Competing in an international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Online Tournament, Thohari and his team claimed first place among 32 teams.
The tournament, organized by the NTU SPMS Alumni Association from Singapore’s School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, was held on May 19, 2024, and featured a total prize pool of USD 1,100.
Thohari competed as part of Team ML Missing Children, a five-member team that rose to the top through a series of competitive matches.
This achievement highlights the diverse talents of UIN Sunan Kalijaga students—not only in academics and research, but also in digital creativity and teamwork on the global stage.
