Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Peace be upon you,
Welcome to the official website of the Physics Department, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
We are proud to offer an academic environment where scientific excellence is developed in harmony with ethical and spiritual values. Rooted in the spirit of integration and interconnection between science, religion, and culture, our department is dedicated to producing physicists who are intellectually capable, morally aware, and socially engaged.
Our academic focus is structured around four major areas of interest:
- Material Physics – studying advanced materials for applications in energy, nanotechnology, and sustainable development.
- Geophysics – analyzing Earth’s physical systems to aid in natural disaster mitigation, environmental conservation, and georesource exploration.
- Biophysics and Medical Physics – integrating physics with life sciences to support health technologies and diagnostic innovations.
- Electronic Instrumentation – designing and developing intelligent systems and tools for research, industry, and societal benefit.
To strengthen our academic and research identity, our department has established a clear research roadmap: “Smart Instrumentation and Sensor System for Environmental Monitoring and Diagnostic System.” This roadmap reflects our commitment to interdisciplinary research that contributes to solving real-world problems, particularly in environmental and health-related sectors.
We welcome you to explore this website to learn more about our programs, academic community, and research initiatives. Let us work together in building a future where science and faith go hand in hand to serve humanity.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
